Mr. Hartman practices in the areas of estate planning and probate, real estate, business law, and franchise law. Clients include individuals and businesses of all sizes.

Mr. Hartman has extensive experience in estate planning representing clients in the preparation of wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents. He has worked closely with clients in informal and formal probate administration and trust administration.

He has represented numerous individuals and businesses in the acquisition and sale of real estate, including the preparation of buy/sell agreements. He has represented numerous developers in the formation of residential, commercial and mixed-use condominiums, including the drafting of condominium documents. He represents numerous landlords and tenants in the lease of commercial real estate.

Mr. Hartman has worked with many individuals in the formation of their business entities, including corporations, limited liability companies and limited partnerships. He works with business clients advising them on various matters that arise during the day-to-day operation of their business.

He has represented franchise clients in preparing registration documents for franchisors, and reviewing registration documents and advising franchisees.

Since 1977 Mr. Hartman has been the Managing Shareholder of the firm and in that capacity is responsible for the overall operation of the firm, as well as day-to-day operations.
